Perspective is AYP's professional journal. It is published twelve times per year.

Perspective, Journal of YMCA Professionals, was established in 1975 to provide AYP members with an opportunity for publishing articles, papers, and commentary to enhance the YMCA profession. The Journal is designed in a more popular magazine format than some professional journals to make it pleasing to look at and both educational and fun to read. The Journal is considered one of the most important benefits of being an AYP member.

Perspective is managed by Craig Altschul + Associates (ca+a) , whose staff (all with long YMCA backgrounds) are responsible for editorial content, graphic design, advertising sales, and printing coordination working collaboratively with the AYP staff and key volunteers.

Each issue of Perspective carries a special content themed section as well as articles of a general nature. The editor welcomes the opportunity to discuss story ideas with you.

How to write an article for Perspective - Most of Perspective's authors are YMCA professionals, although other persons are welcome to contribute articles. For more information on our editorial requirements, read the Exercise Your Writes. If you are interested in writing, the Perspective staff will help you get started and edit your article when you're done. Call Editor
